How to: Smooth and Silky Skin for Bikini Season
I’m so excited that the weather is finally better in Philadelphia and I can start baring my legs in colorful shorts and skirts. I’m especially looking forward to spending some time at the beach with my friends, and I would love to share with you my tips and tricks for getting ready for bikini season!
I prefer shaving my legs, so finding the perfect razor is extremely important to me. I recently discovered the Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle razor and I absolutely love it! It has definitely become my go-to razor because it’s so convenient and well-designed. The moisturizing pads help to protect and treat your skin while you shave, and the 5 blades are perfect for getting a close shave without razor burn. The best part about this razor is that I haven’t cut myself at all, even when it was brand new!
To get an extremely close shave and to decrease how frequently I have to shave, I like to dip my razor into a glass of freezing cold water before using it. The cold blades against my skin cause goosebumps and help to expose as much of my hair follicles as possible. This method works best when you dip your razor into the cold water between each swipe of the razor.
Since this Schick razor has a built in waterproof bikini trimmer, you don’t even have to grab anything else to finish up your routine! It’s super easy to adjust the comb to 1 of the 4 settings to customize your trim length. You don’t have to worry about replacing this razor because the razor head can be changed with any Schick Hydro Silk cartridges and the trimmer is battery-operated.
Finally, I always put on lotion immediately after showering to help my skin become softer and more supple. I really like some of the moisturizers from Nivea and Dove because they absorb easily into my skin, don’t leave a sticky residue, and lock in moisture.
